Equipment Logistics

Transport coordination and technical rider management

The best show production means nothing if the gear does not arrive on time, in working condition, at the right venue. Equipment logistics is the often invisible foundation of successful touring: getting everything where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.

More Than Just Transport

Equipment logistics encompasses every aspect of gear management on tour. This starts with technical rider development: documenting exactly what equipment travels with the artist, what the venue must provide, and what needs to be rented locally. A well-written rider prevents misunderstandings and ensures consistency across different venues and countries.

Beyond documentation, logistics means coordinating transport, managing customs for international tours, sourcing rental equipment in different markets, and ensuring consumables like pyro and CO2 are available at each stop. Every detail matters when the show depends on it.

International Experience

Touring internationally adds complexity to logistics. Different countries have different regulations, power standards, and equipment availability. Having managed tours in Europe, South America, and the USA, I understand the challenges of cross-border touring and how to navigate them efficiently.

This experience is particularly valuable for SFX logistics. Pyrotechnic materials and pressurized CO2 require special handling and permits when crossing borders. Planning these requirements in advance prevents delays and ensures the full production can travel with the artist.

Festival Coordination

Festival appearances present unique logistical challenges. Limited load-in windows, shared stages, and strict changeover times require precise planning. I handle festival advances to ensure production requirements are communicated clearly and load-in schedules are optimized for efficient setup within the allotted time.
